March 2025 Newsletter

With that long stretch of bitter cold weather in February, NWH board members and volunteers were picking up shifts at the Kitsap Severe Weather Shelters. We are thankful for all of the volunteers that step up to staff these emergency shelters, so that folks have somewhere safe and warm to be overnight. Many counties in Washington have these temporary emergency shelters and volunteers are almost always needed during the winter season. Considering check your county website to see if you can participate.
